That doesn't mean he won't live again. ;p Even if it's in some other form. I don't really follow the series, but it's hard to believe that his death, if there is one, will be absolute. It's just too rare, especially considering that the whole thing is named after him and much of it focuses on him. Although, if the movie doesn't follow the manga or the anime series, I would think it more likely to happen.

I heard about this a couple of weeks ago. I think either his death is temporary (as it was for Gaara), or the movie is non-canon.

On another note, one thing I do feel certain about however, is that Jiraiya is gonna die sometime soon in the manga.

Uhm.. Naruto shouldn't be dieing at any point permanantly that I'm aware of unless you want to skip to the ending ahead of everything with such a movie. That would be kind of like showing the death of Kenshin before the Kyoto arc or in other words a decidedly idiotic move.
