New MSF Site!

As you may have noted just now, magicalsailorfuku.net now points to the same thing http://www.pipian.com/msf3/ points to: A simple blog post. Likewise, anything that's in that subfolder (e.g. the forums at http://www.pipian.com/msf3/forums/) are now accessible from the much more sensible http://www.magicalsailorfuku.net/forums/. The forums may act a bit wonky as we move back over to the magicalsailorfuku.net domain. If so, clean out your cookies and/or relogin at the new domain.

As for the old site, it's still accessible for the time being at http://archive.magicalsailorfuku.net/

P.S. Nikkou, your login currently doesn't work on the new site. Talk to me to work it out, especially if you still have something to fix on the archive site.

*Blink-blinks*

I want to check out these changes but nothing seems to be working aside from being able to see where the site is in the archives. The other links lead to dead ends and such.

As I said, you may need a few days for DNS to start resolving properly.

You didn't say that. At least not in the opening post here. :O I'm not even sure what a DNS is. <.<; You people and your silly acronyms. ;p Oh, well... I'll just wait a few days, then.

Seems to be working here. One aside: If you are still accessing through the pipian.com name, you will not be able to remain logged in. You will need to use http://www.magicalsailorfuku.net/messageboard or http://www.magicalsailorfuku.net/forums.

Just a note -- the notification email from a private message points to the old URL. It took me a while to figure out why I couldn't log in.

I don't get it. I see nothing. Can someone instruct the fool? Please? ;/ Clicking links isn't helping me.

Are we gonna be keeping the changing room? 'cause that along with the captions were what drew me here in the first place ^__^;; And we're already losing the captions off of the site hehe.

I'll poke Aura to see if she'd like to share a (new) Changing Room script for MSF. She's pretty good with them so...

What do you mean? Does http://www.magicalsailorfuku.net look like the old front page or the new? Try holding Shift while clicking refresh once you visit http://www.magicalsailorfuku.net.

Yup, it's the old front page, if the one with the winds of change is being considered the old one. Refreshing with the shift key doesn't change that. Is it just me for some weird reason, or could it be a different address that I need to be directed to? O.o

Give it a day or two. Your ISP may not have updated their cache of where the site points to.

I'll consider myself poked, then. Check your PM reply box. Simple(r) changing rooms are easily doable in a day or two if I actually sit down and do something besides hop into an MMO or grab a book... ^^;;;

Maybe I'll think something up on a New Year's resolution theme, but chances are fifty-fifty if I meet that deadline... ^^;

*interlude whilst I check my inbox since gmail says I have a new message*

Though, the way mine work... or at least the way I set them up... they're a bit different than Yumi's since I've not the graphical ability to work special images for them.

edit: @Mikkou: DNS = Domain Name Servers. basically a great big phone book of domain names and which computer to point at. If you're still seeing the old msf, it's because it hasn't refreshed to your isp yet that it's on a different 'puter. Others, less sleepy than I, could maybe manage a more technical(ly accurate) description, but that should be sufficient to start with...? Zzz...

She didn't do them dynamically through the looks of it...

Incidentally, I noted that you actually refresh the page rather than having the refresh link just rewrite the HTML inline... Given how rare browsers are that DON'T support getElementById(), it might be a little bit cooler to just go in and use DOM to go in and fix the texts.
